We hope you are enjoying your summer. We currently have three groups of well trained apprentices available for employment in the immediate and short term future.  These apprentices have successfully completed various levels of their Ministry approved training in the field of Heavy Duty Equipment and/or Truck and Coach.  This is a great opportunity to expand your workforce with new qualified staff.

New Graduates for long term needs - All 3 MTCU levels completed
We are excited to announce that our 2010 graduating co-op classes of Truck and Coach and Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians will be available in a few weeks.

These graduates are registered apprentices who have successfully completed the in-school apprenticeship curriculum and have 4 to 8 months of experience in a co-op/apprenticeship setting. A number of candidates also offer additional experience and a previous background in the transportation field. You will be impressed by the knowledge, skills and experience these individuals have to offer.

Co-op Apprentices for short term needs - Levels I and II completed
We also have a few co-op students available from July to December.  These students are available full time and are an ideal solution to your immediate short term needs. Only straight wages required.  No benefits or sponsorship necessary.  Great candidates for seasonal needs or to evaluate future hires without immediate long term commitment.

Pre - apprentices - Level I trained individuals eligible for subsidized wage program
We also have Pre-apprentices available starting August 23 for short and long term employment.  These individuals are Level I trained apprentices which means they have technical skills applicable to Truck and Coach, Heavy Duty Equipment and Farm Equipment. They also qualify for a subsidy of up to $1300 for a 12 week work period. A cost effective way to consider new staff.

To consider candidates from one of these groups, simply provide us with a job posting outlining your requirements.  You may email your opportunity to llugli@centennialcollege.ca or fax it to 416-289-5252.  You can also contact Linda Lugli directly at 416-289-5000 x 7733.  Both the graduate and co-op student groups qualify for the Apprentice Tax Training Credit.

We look forward to assisting your organization with its recruitment needs.

Regards,
